We have our own Converter called TubeTuner which you can use to convert YouTube videos and download them in audio or video files. But there are also other platforms which you can use.
To convert a YouTube video you will require the link or URL to that video. Doing so is a simple and straightforward process. The next section will cover exactly how to do that. There are two methods of getting the link to a YouTube video. The first method works on all devices including android, iPhone, Mac, Laptop, PC, etc. The second one only works if you are watching YouTube on a browser.
This is the recommended method to use. It will work if you are using the YouTube app or using YouTube on a browser like Chrome.
Step 1: Navigate to your desired YouTube video that you want to convert
You can do this by using the Search Icon at the top on YouTube. Here we searched for "Rick Astley" since the video we want to convert is the famous song "Never gonna give you up."
Step 2: Click on the Three Dots icon
Next to the video title of the video that you want to convert you can see Three Dots icon. Click on that icon.
Step 3: Click on the Share option.
After clicking on the Three Dots icon, a menu will popup. On that menu you will see a lot of options. You have to click on the Share option.
You can also start playing the video and click the Share button that way.
Step 4: Click on the Copy Link button
After clicking on the Three Dots icon, another small menu will popup. On that menu you will see a lot of buttons. You have to click on the Copy Link button.
If you are on the web you will see a Copy button like so,
If you are on the YouTube app you will see a popup from the bottom of the screen instead from there you can see a button like shown below.
If you are using YouTube on a browser then you can follow this method as an alternative.
Step 1: Navigate to your desired YouTube video that you want to convert
Similar to the first method, you will have to navigate to your desired YouTube video. You can do this by using the Search Icon at the top on YouTube. Here we searched for "Rick Astley" since the video we want to convert is the famous song "Never gonna give you up."
Step 2: Watch the video
After navigating to your YouTube video, click on the video to start playing it.
Step 3: Copy the link from the browser address bar
Once you start watching your desired YouTube video you can just copy the URL form the browser address bar.
Congratulations, you have successfully copied the YouTube video URL. The simplest way to start converting is to use our Converter to convert your desired video into an audio or video file with a format of your choice. Paste the URL that you copied into this input field.
Select between converting to a video or audio using the dropdown. You can also choose the file extension of the converted file before the conversion starts. If you are unsure about it then you can just pick the default options which are mp3 for video and mp4 for audio as they work fine for most devices.

After selecting all the necessary options and pasting the URL Click on the "Convert" button to start the conversion. While your video is converting don't leave or refresh the page otherwise you will lose all the progress and will have to convert the entire video again from the start.
You will see a button with a loading spinner indicating that the conversion is ongoing. Once the conversion finishes you will hear a ding sound and a "Download" button will appear. You can download the converted file by clicking the "Download" button.
